I think mine works. Only filled it a couple of times (normally put in 25-30 dollars) but I haven't run out and had it down to 1/8 of a tank a few times. I try not to let any of my vehicles get below 1/4.

I performed the gas tank mod on mine right after I got it so it would hold 20 gallons versus 15. So I drive for about 80-100 miles before the guage starts indicating anything below FULL. Once it starts registering though, it is pretty accurate for a 15-gallon guage.

It did for a while... Then all of the sudden died on me. Spent about 5 years that way then last year I decided I was sick of it and went through and cleaned all the contacts and connectors and now it works - kind of. It's about a 1/4-1/2 tank off by my math... Out of habit from it not working for so many years - I really don't let her get too low if I can help it.

From a 1/4 tank, down...yes.

It's more like a "pull over & get some petrol, you idiot" gauge.

Nope, I bought the Jeep used and learned the hard way. It stops at 1/4 with about 5 gals left and won't go lower. When it started to sputter, I changed the fuel pump and plugs before it dawned on me.

Mine works up until about 1/8th tank I figure, then it starts bouncing like crazy, signaling that I need gas lol.

Yes. Works great, brand new spectra fuel pump assembly and gasket. I took out the baffle in the tank too. The only problem I had is that I had to use the 3 wire connection off the stock pump. With that I extend the wires enought to drop the tank with pulling the wires.

Mine works but takes awhile to register the new level after filling up. I know it's full though, so that's not an issue for me.

OK. my has guage works well enough. It's not precisely accurate, and the needle bounces around a bit...

I used to just fill every 225 miles, but my trip counter for mileage doesn't zero properly... Argh....

Nope. Ive had 2 YJ's. Neither of them worked. I just fill up every 200 miles and carry a 5 gallon can full for safety... I actually laughed at the title of this thread and then was suprized at how many peoples gas gauges work.lol
