Yup if say anything electrically fired via a nozzle and ECM controlled would be considered fuel injection.

The premise of fuel injection and the one fact that makes it superior to carbs is it's ability to automatically adapt to variable without the need for rejetting. You can drive from the beach in FL to the mountains of TN with minimal loss in power performance, response or the like. TBI accomplishes this quite well. Direct injection systems provide for a better atomization in the cylinder and provide a better burn and mileage but it's a marginal difference.
Back on topic, I have a 91 yj with a 4.0 and I have Fuel injection

Pretty much all of the YJ FI models are pretty reliable, 2.5L or 4.0L. 1987-1990 2.5L YJ's were equipped with TBI, 1991-1995 were equipped with the more traditional MPFI system.

Pick your poison and roll with it.

I have a 95 with the 2.5 now but I'm not looking for one with the 4.0. Ideally I want another 95 its got the best of everything and I'm in no hurry to find one so I can hold out but I'm not limiting myself to a 95

What's the elevation difference there, like 1200 ft?
