Fuel injection from 4.0 on a 4.2 258 I6

Got a Jeep Wrangler YJ from 94' with the 4.0 I6. Also have a 87 YJ with the 4.2 liter I6 in it. Plans are to use the main engine without the accessories from the 258, and use the intake manifold with the fuel injection off the 4.0 to take the place of the carburator. Anyone have any experience with this or just want to throw out some ideas to me? Anything would help!

that basically what mopar does for their fuel injection conversion kit for the 4.2

if you already have the donor it will save you about $2500

I'd use the 4.0 head, too. Have it surfaced & checked for cracks, of course.

Definitly will consider the 4.0 head. and i had already seen the Mopar conversion kit, but didnt want to have to spend $2500-2600 to get it. Just wanted to make sure everything would fit correctly and run smooth.
