I've used Chilton and Haynes before and didn't really like the format. Even their CD version was awkward. I've used other brand PDF manuals for some of my other cars (Corvette, Ford, Mercedes, Dodge, etc), and internet forums like this, and had much better results.
Oh, the things I repaired on my 420SEl! Saved myself (literally) 5 or 10K in shop repairs for a lot of simple age related repairs.
The problem I'm having with the YJ PDF I just got is that I'm a home-mechanic and don't know a lot of the mechanic terms or component names. So, explaining to me that this whozits connects to that whatzits means little. A picture showing where, what, and how makes the explanation complete. This manual assumes you know all the component names, descriptions, etc, and therefore omits most of the pictures or diagrams.
Anyway, enough of my Sermon on the Manual speech. I'm still looking elsewhere, but if you do find one, thanks.
