fuel pump problem???

hello everyone started having a problem with my 95 yj 2.5 liter was running fine and noticed a slight miss it got progesively worse until it died. it would restart once in awhile but wouldn't keep running swaped relays around and still nothing it finally started and ran for a little bit but died again. pulled it home and started checking things I couldn't hear the fuel pump prime pulled the codes only one that was out of place was o2 sensor was lean 0 fuel pressure at the fuel rail so all of this says bad fuel pump so droped the tank pulled the fuel pump out and hooked it back up and of course the fuel pump would run checked the voltage at the fuel pump connector 11.59 volts when I turn the ignition to the on position but it will only do this 2 times of turning the ignition for off to on the to get it to power up again I have to crank the engine so the question is is this the normal sequence for the 95 yj so it doesn't load up with fuel or should it prime everytime the ignition is turned from off to on I plan on rplacing the fuel pump regardless since the tank is down but if this is not normal I wan to look for other problems ecm capacitors etc.thanks for any help you can provide

My 94 did almost the same thing. I found a fuse located on the firewall next to the battery, pulled it clean the fuse housing and replaced with a new fuse and that fixed my problem. It was getting hot from the motor running and was loosing connection.

ok I guess working on this problem in the dark paid off in the process of testing and retest and testing some more I noticed sparks coming from the ground terminal for the fuel pump on the sending unit I scraped the terminals clean and tightened the terminal and that seems to have fixed the problem so far
