Fuel Spilling from top of tank

I thought I was smelling gas fumes from the rear of my 94 YJ ( 2.5 ) and now notice I have a drip from both sides of the top of the tank? Has a line come off or broke it only does it while the engine is running and stops when I shut it off? is there an ez way to check or do I have to drop the tank?
thanks for the help

It could be rubber hose, or leaking around the sending unit seal, or anything in between. I think the easiest thing to do would be to cut a clever hole through the bed to give you access to the sending unit. Just don't blow yourself up.

It may not leak until its under pressure. All it takes is a tiny pinhole. Keep the tank out and just hook all the lines back up then start the Jeep. I am not sure what kind of fuel system you have but some are always under pressure even when the engine is off. Keep a fire extinguisher handy because you never know
