Fuel Tank Sending Unit

Hi All:
I removed the fuel sending unit from my '90 Wrangler's fuel tank to replace the inlet filter but in my haste (a rainstorm was approaching), I didn't notice if the rubber gasket (I have the rectangular sending unit with 6 bolts & no pump) goes between the tank and the spacer flange or between the spacer flange and the sending unit. I've looked extensively for an exploding diagram of this part but haven't found anything that helps.
I suspect that the correct order is: tank - spacer flange - gasket - sending unit but, before I go through the trouble of putting it together and re-mounting the tank, I am hoping someone has a little knowledge they can share. Thanks in advance.

The gasket should go between the tank and sending unit then the flange on top of the sending unit, then screw it all down
