When I start it, the (acc. fuse I believe) blows and all guages stop working. It usually blows immediately but it has lasted anywhere from 1-60 minutes before. Reverse lights mysteriously stopped working about the same time. I think its possessed!
did you hook anything into the electrical system recently, fog lights, trailer lights. did anything get wet? i had a zj and some moisture gathered in the wiring for my trailer hitch wiring harness and a similar thing happened. i'd do over the wiring on any accessories you have.
Sounds like an exorcism may be my best bet at this point. The pig tail is dry and the guages will work for a limited amount of time. There has to be a short somewhere. I was hoping it was a common problem with an easy fix, I need to move on to bigger and better things. Springs, new venture tranny, atlas trans case, 33's etc. Thanks for the reply!
ur grounding out somewhere. pull apart the dash and trace all the wires from whatever is being affected
