Question Gas Cap

Ok I dont have a clue...
I filled the tank last week. Empty again BUT when I flipped the
licence plate down to fill er up again= NO GAS CAP. Now I really
never paid much attention to my missing gas cap SO I dont know that type it is. Is it just a generic vented cap, is it JEEP
specific like a specific cap (pressurized system) I dont have a clue, do I need to look to dealer or generic cap from auto parts store. I guess it has run ok for a week so I guess it could be just a generic vented cap. Im sure Im only one to lose one
so any help is greatly appreciated.

Any auto parts store should be able to look it up and fix you right up. Just give them the model of your jeep, ect...

I replaced mine a few years ago to get through emmisions. I am pretty sure I bought a generic cap. Not even Jeep specific.

Got it. It was a whopping $6.99 So Im a broke college kid again.
Just wasnt sure if it was the vented cap or sealed. Looked sealed for presurized tank. Didnt opt for the locking cap though.
Then probably loose the key too...I guess it does run better with it on.Although I didnt miss it for over a week. Ill post pics soon w/list of what we have done to it in the first year.
