Gas tank

What size gas tank is in a 93 ?

Most likely 15, but if you search around there is a huge write-up on here about the fuel tank upgrade. It really only is taking the extra tube out of the vent port on the fuel tank.

2.5L 15 gal 4.0L 20 gals should be. If you only have the 15 there is a mod to the internal hoses you can accomplish to get it to 20 gals.

He's exactly right, the 2.5L had a 15 gallon tank while the 4.0L had the 20 gallon tank. As for the mod to make a 15 gallon tank into a 20 gallon tank, here's a link for the write up. 15 to 20 Gallon YJ Gas Tank

Thanks for the site. I have to change out the sending unit and will put the 20 gallon unit .Its also easier to find replacement parts plus its cheaper!

Can you use a 20 gallon sending unit after the tube has been cut. Do you need a different gauge to run the 20 gallon unit?
