Gauges blowing fuse?

Hey my dad has a 94 yj 4.0 and it keeps blowing a fuse for the gauges. Everything on the instrument cluster goes out. Anyone have any ideas?

could be the dimmer switch or you have a short/corrosion behind the dash

I don't think it's the dimmer. All the needles for the gauges go dead too. Prob a short from corrosion. I think his windshield was leaking for a bit. Thanks for the input. I'll have him check it out ( and by that I mean I'm gonna have to check it out)

I had the same issue on my '94. I found the wire harness plug going to the dash gauges was shorting out and had green corrosion all over. I cleaned the plug up with some electrical cleaner and a tooth brush. then put a bit of electric grease in there. Not an issue since.
