gauges wiring problem

Hey, a buddy of mine has a 88 yj that hes restoring. He bought new gauges for it but they dont plug into the jeep harness. The wires coming from the jeep is a male connector, but the gauges that he bought are also male. I dont think he want to cut and splice, is there adapter that they sell? has anyone ran into this problem? thanks
