I have 4.56's, and they are pretty damn drivable. They don't seem too low, they do alright on the freeway, but I have 35's but I'm not sure how drastic of a difference there is from your 33's. I think 4.56 is the lowest gearing you can do in the Dana 35, and its a bit lower in the 30 if I remember correctly.

And by low, I mean numerically high. Just incase you didn't know.

4.10 is what i put in mine and it does just fine. I mainly use my jeep off road and wish i had 4.56 gears. I have 33's on mine. If i'm on the pavement i really don't use 5th gear unless i'm on the freeway.

I have stock 3.55s and 32s and it does alright. I haven't had it off road yet.

I know that either way, the gearing is most likely too low with 33's and stock gears offroad. There are a lotta times I wish I had a little lower gearing.

My jeep is standard, and I was thinking 4:10's. This jeep is used on road and off road.

My Jeep is my daily driver and the 4.56s do fine in town, on the freeway, and good offroad, but like I said, sometimes I even would like it a little lower. I'd think 4.10's would be kinda high? I can't say for sure though.

Go as low as you can. I drove with 6 cyl,33s, and 4.56s for a couple of years and liked them. I then went to 35s and wished I had lower gears. If you can get 4.88s for a dana35 do it. Eventually you may go to bigger tires. If you don't 4.56 and 33s are definately streetable. Then if you ever change to bigger tires you will be glad you did. I run 4.88s now, but only have a 4 cyl. If you go to 4.10s you'll wish you had lower.
