Gear ratio question

What is the easiest way to tell what size gears I have?

Check the diff housing, it should be stamped on one of the sides on the top. Or it might had an ID tag still on it.

Mine has a tag.... 05565. Is this a code for the ratio or another identifier ?

No probably not. Next easiest method is just jack up the rear and mark the yoke on the rear dif. Then spin your rear tires all the way around once and count how many times your driveshaft turns. 3 and a half times would be 3.54. 4 and a hair would be 4.10 and so on.
