got a question on a 4.0 oil leak

i have a 95 grand cherokee. it has about 160k on it. i know its not a wrangler but i don't know who else to ask. it is leaking some oil and from what i can see it is coming from the distributer. looks to me as if was coming from the bottom but i am not sure and i was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if they knew what to do. thanks

Out under the cap, or at the bottom where the distributor goes into the block? If number two, there is an oil gasket that goes under the lip on the bottom of the distributor to prevent leaks, and may be alleviated if you tighten the dist. retaining clamp bolt. If it's leaking from under the cap?????? I don't know what to tell you.

If there's a will, usually there's a way, but then you get to that bolt that you still can't get to with two extensions, two universal sockets, and a contorsionist midget trying to help you.

1999 XJ Four door, mostly stock for now, but I am in the process of building a custom plate bumper.

just pull the distributor out and replace the o-ring, its only like $2 and see what happens just make sure that you mark the dis exacty where it was before you pulled it out
