Had my hand up behind the dash, now no courtesy lights and 12:00 stereo.

I was in the process of feeling around up on the driver's side to replace my speakers and windshield hinges. There are a lot of wires up there obv since that's where the fuse box is, and boy is it tight! Especially with my aftermarket roll cage that goes to the floor there.

I must have moved something or strained a wire or something, because now neither of my courtesy lights under the dash, and the radio doesn't have a 12v constant to it anymore. All my presets are cleared and I get 12:00 each time I turn off the ignition. Does anyone have any idea how this happened, or which wires I should be tracing? It's quite a rat's nest up there.

I checked the fuses and none are blown... Thanks!

I just wanted to follow up on this, there was in fact a fuse blown, but it was the IOP fuse in the engine compartment fuse/relay box, not any of the fuses under the steering wheel. I guess it prolly blew when I was wiggling around up there somehow. Just for reference in case someone happens upon a similar problem. If dome/courtesy lights are off and radio resets, check this fuse first.

That means you probably also have an exposed wire in the circuit, so it may be happening again. Probably worth looking for if you ever have to pull the dash for anything else.

I'm thinking you're right, but that it's not necessarily the case :/

Good thing I bought a 5-pack of fuses
