Hand throttle Questions????

ok yall im new to this forum but i need help with my hand throttle.
i have a 91 jeep yj 6 cylinder 5 speed no cruise control. i purchased the teraflex hand throttle and im confused the instructions were terrible. ive got the hand piece installed and i have the L bracket installed. my big problem is i dont have anything to hold the black lining on the out side of the cable in place. there was nothing to hold it up to the hand peice or the hollow screw. and it will catch without these wich could be dangerous. iv been banging my head for 2 days trying to figure this out

Here are the pictures. Whats to keep it the black liner from coming out when I'm using my foot throttle. The black part should be held in place out it won't work and there's nothing to hold it there

You need to drill a hole next to the line from the gas peddle. There should be a bracket there that you can mount it to, then you run the rest of it and hook it to the throttle. This really is an easy mod...i Just think you're over thinking it. If you don't figure it out let me know and Ill try and post some pictures later.

There you go. Those pictures are perfect. Here's my inside picture. I have the hand throttle going a different way.

I use my two little fingers on the throttle. I didn't like using my thumb so I set it up the reverse way of yours.

Adjust the cable to pull the sleeve tight then tighten the locking nut. That little nut in your second pic should be on the other side of the adjuster. Look at the first pic closely in post number 5. You need to be able to loosen the end then tighten the locking nut to hold it there.

What he has said here is a better at explanation. I have never had mine give me any problems.

This especially, nothing works like a hand thorttle when traveling over woop-de-doos where your right foot starts bouncing on the gas pedal, great in sand too

It will come with everything you need if you order the kit. Easy to install and takes about 20 minutes
