Hard/full door tech

Remove the window crank(5/32 Allen I think) use a flathead to pop out plastic retainers(careful they will pull through the door panel or snap easily. Then you have this.

Interior door lock rod

If you have a rattle and the lock does not work the rod fell out of this clip

Interior handle rod

Exterior handle. I welded a piece of 1/4"x1/4" in after it stopped working about 10yrs ago

Rust......

Search this forum for the method to cure the skin crack at the vent window frame. It entails welding an angle iron reinforcement to the underside of the lip by the vent window frame. Since you are already welding the upper door window frame, you should find it pretty easy to reinforce the shell and save any more cracking door skins.

Good Luck, L.M.

I do have the crack by the vent window, although it is small I will be addressing it next weekend most likely when I patch up the driver door. I also need to do the driver floorpan. Thanks.
