hard/ no start problems please help

So I bought my yj seller told me it has a mind of its own, some days it will start some it won't. When I first got it, it was running fine for a week or so then one morning it didn't start would crank but not fire but i left the key on for a bit and i started hearing a clicking from engine fuse block and it seemed like it was the fuel pump relay but i pulled it out and it was still clicking then i put it back in and a few seconds later the clicking stopped and I tried starting it and it fired right up. At first this was once in a while then it got to be when i left it over night and now its if i leave it for an hour someone please help I'm so lost

@massrocker, it sounds like you have the symptoms of a bad computer. If your adventurous, there's a write up jeepforum.com somewhere about replacing the capacitors in the computer to fix it. Search for "brain surgery" and you should be able to find it.

I have read and confirmed that some parts will try to tell you that they are tired and in need of permanent retirement. Luckily my little joop was in the garage when she puked up the ignition control module (ICM) located under the rad fluid reservoir and accessible by taking off the 2 screws in the wheel well. Quick trip to Autozone and 60$ cured her. Cranking with no start and just suddenly dying are symptoms of this condition. Good Luck
