Hardtop questions

Just recently purchased a 1993 Wrangler 4.0, and it came with a soft top in pretty bad shape. Luckily, it has full steel doors.

I have come across an OEM hardtop for sale from a 88 Wrangler. Will this fit without modification? This is my first Jeep, and I know pretty much nothing. He also said he doesn't have any of the "screws to hold it on". Now the soft top on my jeep uses the channels bolted to it, can I reuse those bolts, or is there something else I will need?

Any help would be appreciated, as I love my new jeep, but don't particularly like driving it wet during the winter...

Thanks!

Alfred

Yes it will fit
You will most likely need
the windshield bracket to attach to hard top

The top attaches to the windshield frame with self tapping screws, no channel required. (actually you have to remove the soft top channel.) As for attaching it to the tub, you need to remove all the belt rails. I went to lowes and bought thumb screws with the same threads as the bolts that held the belt rails on to make it easier to remove/install the hard top quickly. I also ran 3/4" double stick weather stripping between the top and tub to help seal it up.
