harness under washer fluid reservoir on 94 2.5

found an unplugged harness in between the washer fluid reservoir and fender. it looks flat and narrow, perhaps a two prong flat connector. i can see the male end dangling and it looks like the female end is situated underneath the washer fluid reservoir. any clues as to what it is?

When you say "situated" under the reservoir do you mean a female connector is attached to the bottom of it or there's a loose female under there? The reservoir may be equipped with two pumps (windshield & rear window) so your loose male fitting could be the rear washer connector.

Exactly right brentd71. If the Jeep had come with a hardtop equipped with the rear wiper (optional on hardtops) from the factory, the water bottle would have had two pumps. The extra wire would have plugged into the second pump.
