Having Difficulties Removing Full Doors

Hey everyone,

tried to remove the full doors on my jeep... wouldn't budge! Tried spray penatrant and oil, no luck. Its been two years since the doors were last removed. Not sure if I'm missing a step in the process.

I removed the 13mm nuts from the hinges, unhooked the nylon strap, and then I tried to lift up and no luck.

Am I missing something here? Please help.

Damsel in Distress!

try wiggling them while lifting, might have some dirt or something down in there with the hinges.

You're doing it right. Just keep working at them. They will come off.

It'll get easier.

X2, Just wiggle and lift. Kind of go from front to back without hitting anything. It'll come off. Good luck

Also read that the best way is to put a piece of wood under hinge and use floor jack to raise it up and presto, up comes the door..

I need to try this as my right 1/2 door is stuck on as well

WD-40 works wonders and when you get em off take some sand paper to the shafts

They will come off if you keep working them.....It's your penalty foul for leaving them ON for two years!!!! The Jeep Gods have been watching you!

Must use PB Blaster and lots of butt muscles.
