Head job fished on 88 and 89 yj low oil pressure

I did a head job on an 88 & 89 yj and now I have 5 psi of oil pressure and I know my oil pressure is good. Any understanding why?

5 psi on the stock gauge or a test gauge?

Stock gage I gotta run A manual
Pressure test. Also I put a quart of Lucas oil in it that should boost up the pressure. I'm guess the printed circuit is dirty so I get false readings

Id put a manual gauge directly on the motor and see what it does before I did anything else
