Headlight Problems

I just bought a 95 jeep wrangler and replaced the sealed beam headlights with projector headlights I found on Ebay. I hooked them up and everything seemed fine but all of a sudden after about ten minutes my headlight switch started smoking as if it was burning up. The bulbs that go in the projector headlights are the H4 bulbs. I'm kinda lost so what can I do to fix this problem?

Sounds like the 14 year old wiring was not designed to handle the amp draw of the particular H4 bulbs you bought. Sounds like you have something with more than 65/50W. I would also check the harness wiring to see if any damage was done.
