Heat problem...frustrating

I have a 95 YJ with NO heat! Would anyone have a clue as to why I can't get any heat running in my wrangler. The fan runs but even after an hour of it running the air is at most mildly warm! I did change the original filter system to an air intake system, would this have anything to do with it? anyone have any suggestions??? thanks!

X2 with the heater core.

Or it could be a door that is not closing or opening properly letting cold and hot air in.

feel both heater hoses are they both warm? if only one is warm there could be a clog. Is your coolent really low. The heater core is the highest point in the cooling system so if the coolent is to low it will not reach the heater core.

I have had the same issue in my tj. my heater hoses are both hot and I have flushed my heater core. also I have plenty of coolant.

However while the jeep was cold i took off the rad cap and started the engine. instead of seeing a little bit of current in the liquid the coolant level rose slowly and began to spill (then I turned off the engine) my friend (a mechanic for many years) said that it could be a water pump w/ ineffective/broken/missing fins so it was circulating enough to keep from overheating but not enought to keep the heatcore hot for extended periods of time. Also in my 97 fsm it says the heater hoses should be too hot to hold adn that a messed up pump could be the culprit. my heathoses were hot but I could hold onto them. I have a pump ready to put on and I'll post my results after it goes on. db, 97 tj sport

ps check the blend door w/ your heating system make sure it is moving

Also make sure your thermostat is working. Maybe the engine is not heating up enough.

i just fixed this same problem..and i also noticed that at red lights my mildly warm would turn cold at idle. so i replaced my fan belt( made sure it was at proper tension) and replaced my thermostat. belt let my h2o pump run better and thermo to allow water to heat up. i live in michigan and its january and i can drive in a T-shirt again!
