Heat reduction

Hello All!

I'm new to the forum, sorry of this is a repeat question but I wasn't able to find a direct answer in other posts.

I have a '90 YJ which doesn't have any carpet. Unfortunately during long rides the floorboard gets extremely hot.

I'm not really interested in installing carpet. Does anybody have any suggestions, secrets or ideas on how I can reduce the heat?

Thanks in advance!

They make a exhaust wrap and make sure factory heat shields are in place. Line x or rhino liner will help too.

I thought that would help, but it still gets pretty hot inside with the hard top on.

Anyone out there that had this problem, prior to installing the rhino liner?
