Heater blower resistor pack?????

I dug up an old thread from about three years back mentioning this, and it was for another model, but does anyone know anything about the YJ's having a heater blower resistor pack, or is it built into the switch, or any ideas on why my blower will not operate with a new (tested to work by me) blower motor and 25a fuse (which was blown).

Seems the previous owner of this 94 YJ that we acquired about a year ago had a towel as an air filter, and that just got sucked into the fan area and really is giving me a headache on troubleshooting to get my wife's heat and defrost (more important for safety) working again.

Any and all ideas and information is welcome and appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

According to Haynes, there is a blower resistor located behind right speaker grille above airvent door on blower housing

Thanks for the info. Could this quite possibly be why the blower isn't working? It's my best educated guess based on that old thread I mentioned in the first post, and the next logical thing given that the motor and fuse are now good, but still no blower.

Anyone else want to chime in, I'm still welcome to suggestions.

If the resistor pack is fried or disconnected it won't work.

Was having a tech at my dealership work on our '94, was a cold night, said to him, heat doesn't work, he hit something under the battery tray and wha'la next thing I know heat, but only on high, hmmmmmmmm, said order a resistor, as the other poster mentioned it's under the right side dash, think two screws...so my low and high fan spd worked after that...odd note, sometimes when I hit a bump my heat will turn off, then i hit another bump it turns back on, someone mentioned perhaps a loose ground...if it was my daily driver I'd chase it, but it's a fourth vehicle so we just speed up for the bumps if the heat's shut down at the moment hahhahaa
