Back again with this 89 that I cant seem to keep running properly. Is there a hei distributor that can be swapped in place of the factory coil type distributor? I know I'll have to run a new power lead and hook the tach to it. Will I have to keep the ignition module with the hei or can that get tossed once its converted? I've done the nutter bypass and switched to a weber carb and vented the tank. After about an hour of driving the engine skips shudders shakes and will not run. If I let it sit for an hour or more it runs like new. Which is exactly what it is. I've put in a remanufactured engine, new distributor, carb, made sure the tank was vented and did the nutter bypass. Yet I still end up with the same results.
