ty95yj is on a distinguished road

so i fried the computer in my jeep and i replaced it. it ran for 45 minutes and then fried the computer again... does anybody know what the cause of this is. its a 95 4-cyl. 5 speed.. thanks

I have never heard of anything like that except for water damage on the computer.. but the new one fried too.. There must be a short somewhere..

I agree it is probably a short I would follow all the wiring and look for any frayed wires that may be grounding out. and maybe check all the fuses to make sure they are the proper size. I was driving my sisters pickup and it caught fire inside the dash because some fool put a 30amp fuse for the stereo where a 5 amp fuse was recomended. good luck
