HELP 89 2.5L starts, runs for a second or two, then DIES.

I just picked up an 89 wrangler 2.5l and it won't stay running.

New: fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel injector, throttle position sensor, battery, oil change, vacuume lines, good spark, decent compression, tested manifold air pressure sensor OK.

It will start, but WILL NOT stay running.

It WILL stay running on starting fluid.

Any advice would likely bring good fortune!

Takes basicaly 4 things for a motor to run, fuel, air, compression, and spark. If you're running off starter fluid, I'd be taking another look at your fuel system.

Just because parts are new, doesn't mean they actually work.

Good advice, I'll start double checking the new parts too.

Is the MAF connected? It will start but stall if not hooked up right.

It doesn't seem to have one. With this throttle body, as far as I know, the MAP, and throttle position sensor are the only things that monitor airflow.

If this had one, it's not there. If you have any info on this machine having one, that would be fantastic, and probably explain everything.
