help identify a engine connector??

1990 YJ 2.5

recently got my jeep and been digging into it more and more and finding all kinds of stuff I want to ask questions about, lol.

today I was in the engine compartment looking over things and found this connector laying between the cylinder head and firewall. what connector is this??


sorry I'm a jeep newbie.... but learning

It looks like the connector that attaches to power steering.

Yeah, there should be a connector on your power steering hose for that. I think it's supposed to bump up your idle speed when the wheels are turned to full lock.

I don't have power steering, so I'm safe then. I noticed it and was wondering what it went to. Like I mentioned this is my 1st jeep and only had it for a short while so everything is a question to me, lol
