I have three connectors hanging under my dash, I had the column, heater box and the pedals out for some painting and restoration... Long story short, have no clue where they go or if they were previously connected.
Just bought the jeep a couple of months ago, got it running yesterday, fuel gauge is pegged, temp gauge isn't coming up to proper temp and oil press is way high... Only gauge working right is the clock and amp meter
I had cleaned and checked all the traces on the circuit card, have new LEDs (that work great) I replaced the fuel sending unit and verified at the tank that I have 4-95 ohms between full and empty, seems like one of the three connectors could be a column ground or something.
Does anyone know what these three connectors are? They hang down just to the left of the heater control panel...
I don't have a hard top, but I do see a hard top connector and washer hose tied up in the back Left corner... I have a in dash switch that doesn't do anything and I assumed it was rear defrost... There is a factory plug hooked up to it.
The front bumper fog lights look aftermarket, I don't see any factory wiring except the turn signals and head lights
Could the red be an optional AC plug? Figure the factory puts the wiring in whether it came with AC or not
I did get all my gauges working, just needed additional cleaning on the circuit card
Sorry I'm not much help as I don't have a lot of 1st hand knowledge on this issue, I was just trying to make sense of your plugs and the 1995 fsm I have. Maybe someone with more experience will weight in.
On my 89 yj 4.2 ht defrost, AC was a man trans orig but someone switched it to an auto at some point.
I'll take a look for the other plugs.
But This plug just has a terminated small metal box plugged into it,
I happened to notice it the other day
I have her running and driving now, all gauges working, apparently didn't need any of these connectors, but would like to know what they are supposed to connect to.
The long skinny one and red connector for sure. There's a few more loose under there too.
