Before you start bustin' on this forum, why don't you try giving us a little more information.
Year? Motor size?, something to give us an idea what you are working with.
Not all YJ's are the same, I know that my 87 gets its signal directly from the distributor, but the newer ones get it from the crank sensor.
You are throwing out all that attitude, and once these guys read that, you wont get an answer even if they knew what the problem was.
One thing you have to understand, its really difficult to trouble shoot a problem that someone else is having, without seeing the vehicle or being able to have a hands on approach to it.
