Help me with my dilemma

So this summer with my job I am going to make enough to buy something big for the jeep. As it sits now. 4 in procomp lift, wheels and tires (look tiny on the lift) and I have a 2.5 four banger. I want to do one or the other. Get new tires and rims( would have to get a rear bumper and tire swing out if I did this) or drop a 305 and all that good stuff in the jeep. Talked to the guy who helped me with the lift and he said he could drop in the 305 and labor for around 1500 and the tires and wheels would be alittle more. What do y'all think I should do? And open to ideas!

What size tires? If you get bigger tires you are going to need to consider a re gear most likely. I say do the V8 swap...

I think if you plan on putting in a V8 depending on new or used parts. Add up all your costs is it what you really want to spend? But is sure would be a lot more fun,

I want to go with 35s but with that then I'm scared the axle won't be able to handle it and with regearing I feel like it would be just my luck to get to college next August and the first week I messed my d35 up. I think the v8 would be my best idea but it just depends on if I can find a good running 305 with low miles and then the cost for installation and all that fun stuff. How much do y'all think the v8 conversion will run me?

If people (including me) break d35s with 2.5l motors what do you think is going to happen to it when you put a v8 in it?
