here we go again. ?????

my wife bought this jeep for me as a surprize and she met a untruthfull seller.

any way i have this 87 YJ with many problems.

so far i have fixed the windshield wipers, brake lights, horn.
just finished a tune up.

plugs, wires, cap, rotor and air and fuel filter.

oil change, diff and tranny oil change.

now for the new problem.

i put the jeep on jack stands and put it in 4WD because i heard a strange noise in the front and what i found in the drive shaft that goes from the tranfer case to the front diff. is bent, it is hitting the exhaust pipe, looks to have about a 2inch wobble in it.

now the question, where can i get a replacement front drive shaft?

allso i need a fuel pump. (i think)

You could just go in a junkyard and find an axle off another yj, not so sure though id wait for a second opinion if i were you. But i know for all my jeep needs the junkyard is always my first stop at the one i go to it has 4 yj's and 3 tj's

If your not turning it into a hard wheeler the stock drive shaft is fine.
go to your local junk yard and get one.
then i would go by a flower shop and get your woman a dozen rose's
to help her know what a find she is to you .
i know i will be telling my wife about what she did for you.

most of our local machine shops will true a drive shaft, or even build you a new one, for pretty cheap. In case you can't find another, it would be worth the time to call around and see what you can find.

Im not sure how they price things, first make sure the junkyard has a yj in there cause jeeps are fairly rare to find in a junkyard. I never got something big like a driveshaft but i remember i payed 20 bucks once for a brake master cylinder which is 120 bucks online.
