Hesitating when I turn off

I just cleaned my Carter carb and it was all fine but now when I turn her off she shakes and rumbles like she doesn't wanna be turned off. The shaking is only for about 1 second to 2 seconds max. And the idle is now at about 1200 so maybe adjust idle?

Your idle is too high. I found that these carbs like to idle at 800 in neutral.

Isnt the screw just on the side of the carb? A picture would be great. i have the haynes manual and it says i need to remove all these hoses and stuff like that. Do i really need to remove them or can i just mess with the screw. Thanks!

opps guess i should have made mention of that well any way i guess first place i would look around its possibly timing or the carb and seeing as the thing started acting up after u cleaned it might mean that it needs to be rebuilt or swapped if u got the cash
