High beam problem

I have a '94 YJ and when I try to engage the high beams, they don't stay on. When I pull the turn signal lever, the high beams come on, but when I release it, they don't stay on. Any suggestions?

The detention in the switch is broken. That means that the part that is supposed to hold it in the on position is worn out it broken. Time to replace it

I don't have a YJ, but I've had cars where pulling the lever is to flash the high beams, while pushing it forward keeps them on. I cannot seem to find an online YJ Owner's Manual, for forgive me if these vehicles are not setup like I mentioned.

I tried that. Then I located a YJ Owner's Manual and pulling back is what should activated the high beam. As noted above, there is a broken part that needs to be replaced.

Don't know about older vehicles, but if you have the fog lights on, high beams don't stay on......On STOCK vehicles. Can't use both at the same time......
