I'm going to mount mine on my back tire carrier. I'm getting a swing-out style bumper with tire carrier in a month or two.

I mounted mine on the front bumper. I put it on the inside, you can see it but its not too noticeable.

What's the back spacing on your rims?

I like the on hood mount but I wouldn't keep it there for road use.

Too many things to risk + wear and tear.

...protected from the elements (when the top is on) just behind the tool box, behind the seats. No back seat, but it could be moved behind that if there was one. Wing nuts and rubber washers keep it snug.

Mine is the 48". As far as length goes, it depends on how high you'll need to jack it up! On level ground the standard size will work just fine for ya, but as a trail tool... depends on the terrain.
I got creative and used spare parts laying around for the install. (no cost involved) I have rubber spacers below to keep it from rattling and rubbing on the fenderwells. Here's a closer shot....

price is right for sure! I wanted a set for my YJ about a year or so ago, couldn't find for under $60 with shipping & all. I only make a few bucks per set after shipping and manufacturing but the idea isn't to make me rich, its for hooking up other jeepers with a more realistic deal on something trail tested and not chinese!

My latest challege is keeping up w/the demand. Every time I restock we're sold out within a week or two. I think the shop has a couple processes figured out though that will decrease production time, we'll see on the next run.

So I decided to make my own brackets. They r made from one of the bumperrets that came off y back bumper. I use a torch to heat the bumperets and then bent then how I wanted them. I ended up mounting my mini shovel on top of my jack.
