Exclamation Hire someone to restore 1993 jeep wrangler

Hi! I would like to hire someone to restore a Jeep Wrangler 1993. It is in pretty good condition but it needs some work also I would like someone to be able to find the parts on Ebay etc instead of paying Jeep to restore it for a huge price. Anyone interested?

Things with need work: there is rusting, the seats will not slide forward, tears in the fabric, some of the frame is broken, radio stolen, need to connect speakers, rear-view mirror missing etc

Please contact me with hourly rates etc, I will consider any of your prices!

Thanks, Tegan

Hey Tegan.
You might start by posting some images of the Jeep, AND your location.

It could be more complicated than you think, may not be worth the money you're willing to spend on it.

TEGSS,
Do everyone on this forum a favor...Buy a Factory Service Manual and a decent set of tools and do it yourself. You will have the pride in saying I built it and the pleasure of doing it. I too can afford to have someone else do my work but choose to do so myself for the sheer pleasure of busting my knuckles when the wrench slips and saying I did it when the job is done... I have a 1992 YJ, a 2002 Corvette, a 1984 H-D Sportster, 2001 Custom built H-D FXR, and a 2005 H-D Electra Glide. All of which I myself am the only mechanic that touches any of them......Try it you might like it....

Hey Vette... give him a break... not everyone is mechanically inclined as a matter of fact I wasn't either until I got into a wreck due to a faulty strut install. After that I learned to do most things myself. I can certainly sympathize with someone who would rather not work on it themselves due to lacking experience or general know-how.

What I would suggest though is that if he does have someone else work on it he should at least make an attempt to assist with the restoration, both to learn how to do the work as well as learn how his Jeep goes together.

Unfortunately I live in IL, but I would be more than willing to work with him on restoring his Jeep. As a matter of fact I am in the process of restoring mine and the way I see it every chance to gain experience helps.

"some of the frame is broken"

depeding on the damage this jeep needs way to much then you want to give it. If you want to rebuild you should prob just get a new one.

I wasn't criticizing TEGSS for not wanting to do the work. I was just trying to say how good it feels to do something like that yourself and the pride that comes with it. I wasn't always mechanically inclined either. Really Good Luck on the built. Post pics and maybe someone can give you some tips..

I totally agree with you Vette... its just that you started your post with:
"Do everyone on this forum a favor", and to a new person that could be construed as a little bit condescending. But for the most part you are right there is a lot of satisfaction to be had in doing the work yourself.
