I have an AX-5 that is rebuilt with zero miles on it.
It has new syncros, bearings ,seals, gaskets and syncro keys.
I had 2 rebuilt and only used one in my Jeep and plan on selling the extra one. How much should I ask for it ?
If it comes with a warranty, then you might be able to get $800 for it. A new one is around $1200.
But like Jeeprich25 said, depends on where you live. Supply and Demand!...An AX5 isn't exactly a trans in high demand. But, being from FLA, you might be able to pawn it off as a new style of aluminum cased steel internal boat anchor..
Actually Jeep parts in Florida are pretty hard to come by , they just don't turn to iron-oxide like they do up north.
I sold it this morning as-is for $500.
Unless you can find a rarer than chicken lips Dakota 4 cyl bellhousing you are stuck with the AX-5. Down here in the flatlands a 4 cylinder is quite adequate.
