I could use some HELP

My '87 YJ with a 2.5, 5 speed has developed a hard vibration starting about 1750 rpm in 3rd. gear through all of 4th. gear. It isn't noticeable in the lower gears, and doesn't do it in the 'bottom half' of 3rd. I replaced the u-joints thinking that was it, but 'no joy'. Any help, ideas?
Thanks:
Scott

It's possibly your clutch and/or fly wheel.

Is it possible that my clutch could be warped?

Does the vibration go away if you push in the clutch?

The two bolts in the upper half of the transmission mount that thread into the transmission are notorious for coming loose and often falling out. When they do your transmission will just wiggle around on top of the mount depending on torque applied. You should also check for loose or broken motor mounts if you haven't already.

Someone else on here has the tranny mount issue, check out this thread.
