I have a couple issues

I have a 1992 YJ with a 2.5L. My oil pressure stays high no matter if I jsut start my Jeep or Im driving all day. What could be causing this?

Second is when I am driving down the road I will lose power and the Jeep will try and backfire. What would this be?

Is it just high pressure, or is it pegged out all the time
