I need a quick awnser to my tranny question?

Will a AW4 trans with the wiring harness and torque converter fit my 88'YJ I want a auto so I hope this will work. also Iam running the 4.2L engine

It will not be a direct bolt in, but can be made to work relatively easily if you know how to wire it up.

You'd be better off finding an auto out of a YJ or going with an older Turbo350 or something. Putting an AW4 into a vehicle with a primitive computer is just going to cause headaches.

how does a turbo 350 work with a Inline 6 though? Cause I might be able to get one of those instead!

I was wondering about the AW4 too. I just got one with the cherokee i bought and the 4 speed would be nice. Is there any type of external computer that could be made to work?
