Idle/throttle issue

Im new to this forum and the jeep world. I bought my first YJ a little over a month ago. I believe I fell victim of a jeep that has sat for awhile. I'm having a rough idle issue and an issue with a really slow idle down. Ive change plugs, wires, distributor, cap and button. Ive also changed out the IAC, MAP, & TPS with little improvement. Any Ideas of what else to check / test before I take it to a mechanic? 2.4l motor

What do you mean by slow idle down? It takes longer than usual to come to idle?
If so, sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check all hose connections for cracks along with hoses. Sometimes the hard plastic lines for 4wdr actuator motor will have small pin holes worn in them...if the leak is small enough it will give you a rough idle and the iac will try to compensate, thus the slow idle recovery.
Spray some carb cleaner around the intake and TB while running and see if the idle changes.

Its a 93
and by slow I mean when i started i, it revs to about 2100 rpms and takes about 15 seconds to idle down and if I take it out of gear to slow down I can be stopped for 10+ seconds before it goes to a normal idle.

The ECU isn't receiving all the info for the fifteen seconds. It takes a while for all the inputs to get figured out and the high idle at startup is a non issue.

If it gets worse or does stupid things then worry. The computers we have are very basic and it takes a minute for it to receive certain signals and start to manage all the things it does.

High idle does point to vacuum leaks so yes take a look at your vacuum lines

If you have no other issues I wouldn't worry. Mine does the same thing

Actually I'm having a few issues, I've got a "miss" when its cold from about 2500rpm til about 3200rpm. No power when trying to accelerate. Also having a hard time getting it into first and second gear when its cold..

How old is the o2 sensor? Check for codes?

Check the fluid level in the trans, a drain and refill with a good fluid might help. Run a search, there are quite a few fluids out there tat are popular..
