Importance of pinion angle?

How important is the pinion angle?

When I installed a 4" lift on my YJ years ago I never adjusted the pinion angle, but I did install a TC drop to get rid of driveline vibration, ran it that way for years with no adverse affects (driveline or u-joint breaks).

Just finished putting a SOA lift, and a SYE kit on my YJ, and I was looking at the driveline angle and the angle dosen't look any worse then when I had the 4" SUA lift. I don't want to put a TC drop kit on, and I really would prefer to not use shims....

So as long as there is no driveline vibration, then I shouldn't have to adjust the pinion angle correct?

Thx
