Internal Slave Cylinder Question

Hey Jeep Gurus... i have a question about internal clutch slave cylinders, im currently running an 87 yj with a 4.2L with the POS!!! Ba-10-5 manual transmission. Last week i bought a new internal slave for the ba-10 because SURPRISE the one that's in it now is toast So i figured, im going to need to drop the transmission to repair it might as well get an AX-15 and do the swap so i got one. My question is this... will the new internal slave that i bought for the Ba10 fit up to the AX15 or do i need to source a different slave for this transmission,, i know you can eliminate the internal slave completely on the AX15 and upgrade to an external but, how much more work and $$ am i looking at with that upgrade.

Also if someone knows some good info one doing this swap could they let me know, ive dropped transmissions before just not in a jeep, it looks pretty straight forward but im a jeep transmission swapping virgin lol.

Thanks for they help everyone, i appreciate your time.

i would say go external. you only need the right bell housing and make sure it still has the pivot attached, clutch fork, throwout bearing and retainer clip and the external clutch slave and master assembly. i bought the assembly on rock auto pre-bled for 108$ on rock auto grab the bell housing and fork from a junk yard.. cheap money. you will be into it for around 250$ give or take a few bucks.

This is sounding like quite a project. Is it straight forward once you get going?

Anything to know before starting this project?
