Did more research it is a real full steal dana 44,with oversized tubes and large diameter axleshafts.
not really an oddball boltpattern it is the same as a wagoneer 6 lug.
This axle I got for nothing so I will sit on it until I find a waggy front dana 44.

i like free

what gears are in it? hopefully they can be matched up to a waggy front, or else regear one or two axles.

And the rodeo dana 44 has disc brakes, out of a 01' The deal is my buddy needs a hand stripping it out of the parts he needs. Hopefully I can get him motivated. I also want to grab the rotors, callipers, and rear
d- shaft.
plan on doing the swap next winter hopefully by then I can scavenge up the parts.

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market can you help you out immensely in finding out what you're going to need, the only thing I will comment is the following...

while free axle can seem like a good deal, can you afford everything else that's going to go with it. You're going to need the proper brackets and then you'll need them welded with the right lengths and angles. You'll need all the proper brake assembly parts, etc. It's a Dana 44 and parts are often plenty, but just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. If you know a welder or can weld yourself then you're golden. The only other thing I will comment is that the D44 is NOT THAT much better then a D35. It does performan better in the strength tests and you'll be able to properly run tires up to 35 inch. But, the Ford 8.8 and the D60 will outperform it, and the 8.8 will cost you relatively the same. But if you're able to get the laborous parts done on the cheap, then I'd say GREAT FIND and definitely go for it!
