Thumbs down Jeep Idle Issue After Hydro Locked

Hey guys,
last night i did some offroading, ended up sinking the jeep and it took in water. I took the plugs out and the water shot out of where the spark plugs were. I got it home but it sounds like its running on a clyinder. The clyinder 3 and 5 arent firing at all. I changed the oil, oil filter, distributor cap and the wires and the plugs, still nothing and it idels redicously rough now. It isnt throwing a code, its a 89 wrangler with a 1997 tj engine in it since the guy i dont believe correctly hooked the engine light up in it and it is a straight 4.0 L tbi, if you guys have any suggestions please let me know, i did dump about a quart of dry gas into the gas tank but it still ideling redicously rough, the oil was a choclate milk light color so it was changed. Also the jeep is over heating now too it no longer runs at 210 it runs about 240 any suggestions? thanks

compression check. All kinds of crazy shiat can happen, from bent valves to busted rings to blown head gaskets to even busted cylinders. Start with compression check, that'll tell you which cylinder is affected and you can go from there.

Sounds like a popped head gasket.

If you haven't gotten more out of the insurance company than you deserve, then you haven't screwed them nearly as much as they have been screwing you for the past xx years.

Worse than that, I've heard of bent cranks and rods when hydrolocked. So cyl 3 and 5 aren't getting spark at all? I agree, a compression tester would be a good place to start.
