Jeep rolls back

But will not move forward when park break is engaged. Any suggestions as to what the problem is. I recently replaced the e brake cable on the driver side because the brake wasn't working at all.

LOL......Mine does the same thing. I know my back brakes are a little low but not sure if thats why it only rolls backwards. I found this out in a very scary way actually. Backed the jeep out the garage to sweep and when I looked back in was nearly in the middle of the road in front of my house. Stopped thank god.

I would check your rear brakes and adjust them. Mine holds but I really have to push down hard to get it to hold. And I have worn pads and the brakes are not touching the the drum so they need to be adjusted. After I take care of that I'm sure they'll hold.

Before the ebrake wasnt working at all. after changing the driver side cable it started to not roll forward. Does the driver side and passenger side cable work independently, meaning does one set of cables stop from rolling forward and the other side roll backwards? I adjusted both sides to equal lengths, is that a good or bad thing?

Adjust the brakes at the rear, make sure cables left and right are not corroded and binding......you should be able to pull them by hand....then adjust the cables themselves so the brakes engage about 1/4 way or less on E brake...should be good to go.
