Just bought my new 87 YJ

So i just bought my new YJ tonight and may i add i love it lol Im pretty sure its stock everything but im glad cause then i get to build it up myself its got 188,000 miles (65,000 on rebuild) Standard transmission

Its a 6 Cylinder, and a standard transmission, I Payed about $4100 for it, its clean on the inside i will post pics on the interior tonight, and thanks guys

i see the texas plates, which city are you?

the white looks great. especially the color matched grill. i have the exact opposite 87 model, all black with an auto tranny, ha ha ha. you'll have fun with it

Nice! I just bought my 88 last weekend. Only real mod is it has 31s. It has 120k and about 14k on rebuilt tranny.

I am In San Antonio, Are you Near? My Friends and i have three people in our group here that own Jeeps, including me, and theirs mostly decked out but we get out alot

well, i am near in the fact that i get up to san antonio regularly enough to know my way around without a map, i went to aviation school up there at hallmark.

i live in corpus though.

That's a fine looking Jeep, on the lights, it probably just needs new SilverStars. On the miss check for vac. leaks that thing has about a mile of vac lines. Good Luck

I have an '87 as well, but I spent a ton less, but I also spent a ton repairing it lol. Good looking jeep ya got there

I only payed 500 for mine! PO thought tranny was bad! It need clutch fluid... I told him that but he said since I was honest I could have it for 500 still!

Sounds like mine. 89 6 cyl with 31" bfgs. PO thought auto tranny was going bad. It was leaking fluid everywhere. I told him it was leaking from two rubber hoses from the trans lines and was shifting funny because it was low on fluid. He said he still didn't want it so I gave him $300 and drove it around the block to a gas station, put 2 quarts tranny fluid in and drove it home no problem.
